is literature connected to art ?
the answer to that is yes , modernism is just solely based on writing , it is a movement and culture. well-known artists and painters such as pablo picasso, edvard munch, and best known andy warhol are examples.
the defintion of modernist art :
Modern art refers to artistic works produced during the period extending roughly from the 1860s to the 1970s, and denotes the style and philosophy of the art produced during that era. The term is usually associated with art in which the traditions of the past have been thrown aside in a spirit of experimentation. Modern artists experimented with new ways of seeing and with fresh ideas about the nature of materials and functions of art. A tendency toward abstraction is characteristic of much modern art. More recent artistic production is often called Contemporary art or Postmodern art.
have you ever seen a peice of modern art ?
you have but never notice but may have always said it was "cool" or "interesting".

conversations,modernly.
today here at MS, we had the pleasure to sit down with poet T.S Eliot , best known for his poem "the love song of J.Alfred Prufrock". Although our interview was brief , we did enjoy Mr.Eliot he was very excited to sit down and talk about his life and where he started.
MS: good afternoon , mr.eliot . how are you today ?
Eliot: hello, please call me tom. and im doing quite well , thank you for asking.
MS:that is very well. lets get started , where were you born ?
Eliot: I was born in St.Louis , Missouri , iam the last of six children born into the union of my parents.
MS:how did you get started in poetry or literature for that matter ?
Eliot:I began writing at the age of fourteen after reading Edward Fitzgerald's "Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam" , the poetry i wrote back then relfelcted the tone of that particular peice of writing , i eventually got rid of them. My first true start was at Harvard where i got some of my earlier works published in the school magazine , The Advocate.
MS:that must have been very exhilarating to have that happen to you , how did you feel seeing your work on print for the first time of many ?
Eliot:I felt accomplished to say the least , i try to humble myself and be as modest as possible , i do recongize my talents although. I think it was a door opening for my career , both publicly and personally.
MS:very well , thank you for stopping by today to let us know about your life and the inspirations around you for we are inspired by you , mr.eliot.
Eliot:thank you , and have a goodday.
there you have it , every week we will try and bring a author in to interview on our site and try to keep things fresh. thank you for viewing ,

what is modernism ?
for those who are unaware , modernism is a time period of free-thinking , liberating situations and undefined character. if you dont know i have tooken a peice of an article from a previous date on a site so you can gain an more short but exact idea of modernism:
- Modernism is marked by a strong and intentional break with tradition. This break includes a strong reaction against established religious, political, and social views.
- Modernists believe the world is created in the act of perceiving it; that is, the world is what we say it is.
- Modernists do not subscribe to absolute truth. All things are relative.
- Modernists feel no connection with history or institutions. Their experience is that of alienation, loss, and despair.
- Modernists champion the individual and celebrate inner strength.
- Modernists believe life is unordered.
- Modernists concern themselves with the sub-conscious.
